On August 19, within the framework of the “International Forum & Exhibition on Innovation & Sustainable Development” held in Ho Chi Minh City, LPF FUND, GOLDEN GATE BCE, and CACAO LAND signed a tripartite cooperation agreement on coordinating investment preparation, arrangement, and capital management for the Cacao – Chocolate Complex Project in Dak Lak.
Under the agreement, the parties will also coordinate in connecting investment components aligned with the orientation of the Vietnam Cocoa Industry Logistics Scheme proposed by LPF FUND.
Coordinating Project Preparation and Researching Capital Structures
According to the cooperation content, CACAO LAND focuses on components related to the project, raw material areas, and the cocoa value chain, and coordinates with technical partners. GOLDEN GATE BCE participates in coordinating and connecting within the collaborative ecosystem; while LPF FUND participates in standardizing the project, researching financial structures, and establishing suitable capital reception and management mechanisms in Vietnam.
The parties also plan to coordinate on governance, capital flow control, ESG, impact reporting, and connecting the project with appropriate international capital structures.
Under this orientation, the project in Vietnam will be standardized and organized with capital reception and utilization mechanisms in compliance with Vietnamese laws and regulations. Accessing and arranging international green capital can be carried out through suitable partners, financial institutions, investors, or investment structures.
Notably, the cooperation agreement does not constitute an unconditional funding commitment. Specific investments or capital sources, if deployed, will depend on due diligence, approval processes, conditions precedent, and separate definitive financial contracts for each transaction.

Delegates take a commemorative photo at the forum on innovation and sustainable development.
The parties consider that this mechanism aims to ensure transparency, risk control, and compliance during the mobilization, reception, and management of capital.
Heading Toward a Cocoa Value Chain Linked with Technology and Circular Economy
Alongside cooperation on the project and capital, activities at the event also focused on connecting technological solutions to serve sustainable cocoa chain development.
Accordingly, CACAO LAND and international partners research and apply biological agricultural solutions to support farming, enhance the quality of raw material areas, and move toward production methods aligned with green agriculture development requirements.
The parties concurrently study solutions for procuring and valorizing byproducts, and developing sustainable materials and packaging within the cocoa value chain. The utilization of byproducts from production and processing is expected to contribute to waste reduction and add value to the production chain.
These components are oriented to connect with the Cacao – Chocolate Complex Project in Dak Lak, thereby expanding the project’s scope from a processing facility to an integrated model spanning raw material areas, technology, processing, logistics, markets, and capital sources.
According to the cooperation orientation, the complex is situated within the overall appropriate components of the Vietnam Cocoa Industry Logistics Scheme, aiming to enhance connectivity from raw material areas to preliminary processing, deep processing, logistics, and trade.
Emphasizing raw material area quality, traceability, ESG standards, deep processing, and waste reduction is also viewed as factors contributing to enhancing the project’s readiness when approaching domestic and international banks, investment funds, and financial institutions.
Through the agreement, the parties expect to progressively link local resources, Vietnamese enterprises, international technology, and green capital, thereby contributing to elevating the added value of cocoa products and promoting sustainable cocoa chain development in Vietnam.
